Few weeks ago I was fooled by the fake spring and it was so sad to know that it’s time to say goodbye to my beloved knits and maxi coats and boots obviously (even though I’ll continue to wear boots in spring, no shame) However right now as I’m writing this post it’s super cloudy and constantly raining which the most terrible weather situation you can imagine. On the other hand probably I’m in one of the busiest periods of my life, working on so many projects at the same time, one of them is my new blog name and theme -as you can see- I’ve moved my whole blog from melikeninstilgunlugu.com to here -somethingmel.com- which gives me more freedom about blogging and the content I’m sharing here. Also I’m planning to share some new and most frequent content on my blog so fingers crossed for a good weather as soon as possible!
Aside from the weather and some technical details let’s talk about todays outfit. I don’t usually wear skirts and that’s one thing that I’m trying to change about my fashion habits. I found wearing jeans, especially mom fits or straight ones, way more easier and comfortable but I don’t like to repeat myself constintly. Unless it’s not a special location or event I’m not into dresses but I guess I can try some different styles with skirts and here we go, today is one of those days. The trick of the look is wearing lace socks with ankle my boots, since I usually wear these boots with my jeans so I’m happy with their ankle height but since I have naked legs I needed more height. And I’m really into the combination of textures of the socks and boots. A small detail but it gathers up the whole outfit.
I’m really into pastels and light shades lately and I think it’s just the right time to wear creams and vanillas since it’s -not oficially, but- spring. And the reason I called this post “creme de la creme” is the PERFECT creme shade of the sweater I’m wearing. It is not a cold but not a warm shade at the same time. So you can wear it with warm coffee shades and black at the same time.
Bir kaç hafta önce yalancı bahara kanıp, canım kazaklarımla, maksi kabanlarımla ve botlarımla (ki botlarımı yaza kadar giymeye devam edeceğim!) vedalaşma vakti geldi diye üzülmüştüm. Gelin görün ki şuan bu yazıyı yazarken gökyüzü olabilecek en bulutlu halinde ve sıklıkla yağmur yağıyor. İstanbul’da yaşayanlar özellikle geçen haftadan beri, bahsettiğim bu durumun devam ettiğini çok iyi biliyor. Bana göre, olabilecek en kötü hava durumu! Diğer bir yandan son aylarda hayatımın en yoğun dönemlerinden birini yaşıyorum, bir sürü proje üstünde aynı anda çalışmaya çabalıyorum, bunlardan biri de blogum yeni yüzü. İsminden görünüşüne kadar bir sürü değişiklik yaptım ve her şeyi melikeninstilgunlugu.com’dan buraya, somethingmel.com’a taşıdım. Bu sayede hem istediğim uluslararası kitleye hitap etmem kolaylaşacak hem de paylaştığım içerikler konusunda daha özgür olabileceğim. Ayrıca daha farklı ve sık içerikler paylaşmayı da hedefliyorum.
Hava durumu ve teknik detaylar bir kenara, bugünün kıyafetinden bahsedelim. Pek sıklıkla etek giydiğim söylenemez, ki bu da değiştirmeye çalıştığım moda alışkanlıklarımdan biri. Kot pantolon giymeyi -özellikle mom fit ve straight- çok daha konforlu ve kolay buluyorum ama sıklıkla kendimi tekrar etmek istemiyorum. Özel bir etkinlik ya da lokasyon olmadıkça kendimi elbiseler içinde düşünemiyorum ama etek konusunda çok daha ılımlıyım. Aslında bu kombinin püf noktası botlarım içine giydiğim dantel çoraplar, küçük ama çok etkili bir detay. Bu süet botları kot pantolonlarımla giydiğimde bilek yüksekliği benim için ideal oluyor ancak etek giydiğimde ortada çıplak bacaklar kaldığı için daha uzun bir bota ihtiyaç duydum. Ayrıca dantel çorap ve süet botun doku uyumunu da çok sevdim, dediğim gibi küçücük ama tüm kombini bir araya getiren bir detay.
Son zamanlarda pastel ve açık tonlar çok fazla dikkatimi çeker oldu, ki bu da -her ne kadar resmi olarak olmasa da- baharda olduğumuzu düşününce; doğru zamanlama. Ve bu yazıyı “creme de la creme” diye adlandırmamın sebebi, üstümdeki kazağım MÜKEMMEL krem tonunda oluşu. Ne sıcak ne de soğuk bir ton, yani sıcacık kahve tonlarıyla ya da sert siyahlarla kombinlemek için harika!
